Episode 93 is like nothing you’ve encountered before. It’s partly because we had no real through line for this particular episode, and partly because Sullivan saved over all the really funny stuff that was going to make us insta-famous. So, instead, you’re stuck with things like: Dyan Cannon’s son Nick, Ray Stevens on Spotify, Crazy Uncle and his print-screen’d e-mails, militant Libertarians, Moon King Coolio and his Malaysian Fantastic Voyage, Plissken’s exploits on his way to the Adventureplex After Dark with America Online and 1992 National Enquirers, Doubting Thomas and the mystery of Jesus’ tomb, and, if you listen hard enough, probably even Fred Phelps. You’d think this was a link bait episode with all the name-dropping, but honestly, it all just sort of happened. I wouldn’t say we’re proud of it, but I wouldn’t say we’re not. So get comfy in your bean bag chairs, prepare to signal your sleeper agents, pop in a copy of Evening Shade, hum along to Cheeseburger in Paradise and let’s do this thing up right! SBP!!
