Spielberg Watches The 1976 Oscar Nominations

This is a fascinating little video.

"Where's Michael Caine?!?"

Steven Spielberg had just made, at the time, the highest grossing box office film ever, with Jaws.

At the beginning, he boasts that they’ll get 11 nominations. I would bet he was only half kidding. But watching his reactions throughout and his response is amazing. It almost makes me wish we still lived in a time when nominations for awards surprised people when they were announced.  Enjoy.
