I don’t want you to be alarmed. I’m not. I just think everyone that doesn’t realize it yet needs to understand that the government is always up in your BIZNIZ. It should come as no surprise that the CIA uses social media to track us, what we say, how we feel and general flows of thought. Stick with me here. I’m not being a foil-hat. I have proof after the jump. They fully admit it.
Like it or not, this is the world we live in. Anyone *can* read whatever you post on the internet, so it should be no surprise that they *do*. They even have a jokey name to call themselves: “Ninja Librarians”. I fuckin’ love it!
Is there anyone on here that honestly believes that what they post on Facebook or Twitter is confidential, even if you have your privacy settings as locked down as they’ll go? I certainly hope not. Granted, our readers are on the high-end of intellect, so I know it’s not sneaking up on *us*, but I feel bad for the suburban housewives and junior high kids that don’t know any better. Good luck proving you didn’t want to blow up the chem lab, you Nazi.
This is good podcast fodder. I have a story to tell about this on the next one. Anyone else have any internet horror stories? Anything you post ever come back to haunt you in some official capacity (i.e. not “Larry Halloween saw my post about him and his feelings got hurt”, Sullivan). Hashtag it with #SBPants on Twitter so we can see it…and so can the feds!
